Christina Lampey
I am a qualified New Zealand registered Dietitian and have been working in New Zealand for since 2010 and prior to that I worked for the National Health Service in the UK.
I have a range of experience in the community, outpatient and inpatient settings. I have a very broad knowledge base and my main specialist areas are in clinical nutrition in the , childhood from birth to 18 years, Diabetes Type 1 and 2, weight management in all ages, sports nutrition and the Ketogenic diet therapies. I enjoy giving groups talks
I am really passionate about food, not just the nutrition side but I love to cook and create. It may not always go as planned, with meals not looking quite like the picture but they taste really good MOST of the time. I have done a lot of travel and I always remember the food, the smell, the taste and the shock, mostly surprise, of being told what I have just eaten, also inspires me to try new recipes and ingredients. If it goes wrong, oh well.
I have been a very keen athlete for many years with sports including mountain biking, water skiing, running, and I am very keen rowing. Due to injury and having a babies in recent time my sports have been put on the side-line but 2019 is my year to get active and continue being healthy.
